Have Your Audrey Hepburn Moment With An Actual Breakfast At Tiffany’s

The opening credits of the iconic Audrey Hepburn movie Breakfast At Tiffany's shows the actress strolling post-party through Fifth Avenue in New York, nibbling on a croissant while staring at the window of famed jeweler Tiffany & Co.

And now you have your own Holly Golightly moment (Givenchy gown optional) by having an actual breakfast at Tiffany’s at The Blue Box Café, which opened at the fourth floor of the Tiffany & Co. flagship store in New York City last November 10. Here’s what you can expect at this lovely café:

Tiffany blue—everywhere

Since its opening, the café has been full of modern-day Holly Golightlys Instagramming the food and themselves against the beautiful interior. The café is fully decked out in the classic Tiffany Blue—the trademark blue of the jeweler, which is like a highly saturated robins’ egg blue. The signature blue is the color of the jeweler’s famed box, for which the café is named after.

Sumptuous finishes

Everything from the walls to the dinnerware are the ultimate in luxe. The walls are in Amazonite, a special marble that has naturally occurring Tiffany blue veins (above). The tabletops are wrapped in zinc, which mimics the posh luster of Tiffany’s silver pieces. And the dining chairs are upholstered in fine fabric the color of Tiffany blue, of course.

The lovely home items for sale

All the dinner plates and saucers are of china dipped in a touch of Tiffany blue, and you can buy these from a retail area within the café, which sells Krakoff Everyday Objects designed by Tiffany & Co’s chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff. The items don’t come cheap, mind you—a sterling silver tin can costs US$1,500, and a pair of walnut-handled ping-pong paddles costs US$650. And now, breakfast

You won’t be eating a croissant on the street here, and that croissant won’t cost a dollar. An avocado toast with your set breakfast will set you back a cool US$29 (approximately P1,484), and if you’re staying for lunch it will cost you US$39 (P1,996) for a main course with a soup or salad, and high tea goes for US$49 (P2,508).
