Roughly 37 pets—most of which are rescued cats and dogs—are currently buried in Minerva's little pet cemetery. "It's my way of thanking them for giving me unconditional love and happiness," she shares in a video interview with Summit Media. "Para sa akin, they also deserve a decent burial. Hindi sila dapat tinatapon lang."

Minerva started rescuing pets in 2009. Unfortunately, her first fur baby—an adorable mini pincher—has passed away. This inspired her to carve out a burial ground in her home in Banawa, Cebu City. "May space doon sa nirerentahan ko na parang ginawa ko na maliit na garden. Doon ko nilibing yung mini pincher ko," she recounts. "Since then, sabi ko sa sarili ko na kapag bibili ako ng sarili kong bahay, dapat corner lot siya at may malaking space sa labas para mayroon akong space para sa cemetery."
