People have been coping with the pandemic in different ways. For Juliet Meneses-Balahibo, it was discovering and eventually falling in love with a new hobby—creating miniatures.

She shares during a recent interview with Summit Media, “Nag-start ‘yon actually mid ng pandemic, when my daughter asked me to do a dollhouse for her.” When she posted photos of her work on Facebook, her friends suggested that she turn it into a business. Now, she does commissions ranging from P4,000 to P10,000!

Creating miniature houses is almost like planning for a real home—from the design to the materials used, everything has to be painstakingly planned. An average project takes about a month to complete. “It takes a lot of effort and time.”
