Whether you've just moved into a new condo unit or saving up for a makeover, design inspiration is within your reach with a copy of Real Living or even just a few minutes spent on This October, take inspiration to the next level and treat yourself to a fun and enriching experience at the Real Living Space happening on October 1 (Saturday) and October 2 (Sunday) from 10am to 6pm at The Sapphire Bloc.

Now on its 4th year, the event is bigger, better, and more exciting as we've partnered with Robinsons Land, 13 trusted design professionals, and our sponsors to turn five units of The Sapphire Bloc into cozy and stylish spaces. Curious and can't wait? Here are five more reasons why a visit to RL Space 2016 is a must:

1. You get to experience Art Deco at The Sapphire Bloc.

This year, the signature event will take place at The Sapphire Bloc, Robinsons Land's four-tower property in Ortigas Center. The Sapphire Bloc has a classic art deco style, a theme that all five units will also showcase. "It's also timely to choose the style as there is a renewed interest in heritage sites and their conservation, most especially art deco buildings like the iconic Metropolitan Theater, which is currently being uplifted and renovated," says Real Living editor-in-chief Rachelle Medina.

2. You'll see the works of 13 design professionals and get ideas on how to style your space.

What better way to celebrate RL's 13th anniversary than with a mix of 13 designers, architects, and stylists? Get up close and personal with the spaces and units designed by Kristine Neri-Magturo, Wilmer Lopez, Pai Edles and Misty Floro of Morfosis, and Angelo Siochi, to name a few.

Each professional will showcase a contemporary take on the art deco style while still maintaining their signature look—from tropical to modernist, and from classical to elegant-glam. Wouldn't it be interesting to see how much you can do even in a small space?

3. You'd be able to source and shop for must-have items for your home.

Looking for just the right side table or chair for your space? Here's a treat if you'll visit RL Space this year—several sponsors will be offering discounts on selected pieces found in the units! There will also be a checklist of items in each space so you can easily take note of the name and where it can be bought.

The units featured in RL Space 2016 were completed using furniture and accessories from brands like Blims, Habitat, AllHome, Design Story, MAV Furniture, Match Contract Furniture, and Wilcon Depot.

4. You'll discover ways on how to work with paint, colors, and more.

More often than not, our first concern upon moving in is how to turn a plain condo into an inviting home. Since the spaces feature a different look and feel, you'll go home armed with tons of ideas on how to style and decorate your space. For the second year, Boysen also helped transform the spaces with their wide array of colors and products—giving you a few tips on how a fresh coat of paint can make or break the look of your home.

5. You can take part in fun DIY and home improvement workshops.

Planning to start a mini garden at home? Curious about upcycling and calligraphy? Dabble into all of these and more as there will be workshops lined up for two days, too!

You also have the chance to speak with designers and RL's editors about a few design concerns, buy copies of Real Living's special editions and books, and meet with representatives from Security Bank, Design Armoire, and 3M.

By the way, did we mention that the admission and workshops are all for FREE? Start your October with a bang and don't miss this year's Real Living Space. For more details, visit
