This Homeowner's Colorful Home in Tarlac City Will Inspire You to Redecorate
Take a look inside this eclectic abode.
Almost every nook and cranny of this home is splashed with bright and playful colors!
Homeowner Bernadette Lim likes to call the lively house her very own "happy nest."
According to the mom of three, her kids' love for colors inspired her to transform the space, which used to have a neutral color scheme. "Dahil mahilig sila sa color, unti-unti kami nag add ng color [sa bahay namin]," she tells Real Living. Initially, Bernadette only thought of sprucing up her garden. But after seeing how much her kids loved the makeover, she ended up decorating one room to another! "Na feel namin na happier 'yung kids, [especially] 'yung son ko na may [autism spectrum disorder] ASD. Talagang nai-inspire siya sa mga decor."

Primary colors liven up the homeowner's front yard-turned-lounge area.
Right beside the front yard is a breezy patio. Bernadette likes to call it the "shabu-shabu" because this is where her family would usually bond over hot pot meals. Similar to some Japanese restaurants, the hangout spot has a sunken dining table.
The living area looks cozy and intiving! It even has a refreshing view of the backyard, where the family has also set up an al fresco dining spot.
Bernadette's kitchen is just as cheerful as the rest of her home!
A charming gallery wall ensure that the walk up or down the stairs is never boring.
The master bedroom is filled with a lively mix of patterns and colors.
As expected, the kids' bedroom is nothing short of colorful!
It has access to an art room, which serves as a play area and a study area for the little ones.
Pool area and guest home
The family also has their very own hideaway!
The guest room will make you feel like you're staying in a villa. The homeowner furnished the inviting orange space with a daybed—perfect for lounging around! A macrame wall decor and a few potted plants complete the tropical feel of the room.
Eclectic decor bring life to the bathroom's raw, unpainted concrete walls.
