An American Country-Style Home in a Local Setting
A relaxing weekend home-inspired residence designed for daily living
Who says you can’t live in a “weekend home” every day of your life? The Esguerra family was so inspired by their contractor friend’s house that was in American country-style that they wanted the same look for their own family home. With careful planning, the couple created a comfortable and airy abode where their children can grow up in. Glass doors by the living and dining areas open up to a porch bordered by white balusters and out to a garden. Furniture around the house used a selection of hardwoods like oak, maple, narra, and molave, complemented by a warm monochromatic shade of browns.
Despite the nine months it took for the Esguerras to build their house, it was worth the wait since the homeowners were able to see the project through every step of the way, until it was completed into the dream country home inspired by Pottery Barn.
