An 80sqm Bungalow Filled with Secondhand Finds

Homeowner Dino Romano likes to hang out in the living area of his 80sqm home. The main attraction of the space is the Cityvintage piece—a gift from his late mother which he had reupholstered. All over the home are antique finds from Evangelista Street, Makati mixed with modern pieces. An avid Real Living reader, Dino shares that he got a lot of design inspiration from the magazine's pages.

 The restored warehouse was like a blank canvas for the self-declared “designer by passion.” He slowly furnished it with various design elements—down to the smallest detail. An old dark wood dining set is set against a bold red wall, the strong color in the house, while black-and-white framed pieces provide contrast.

After going through books and magazines, Dino realized that he was drawn to mid-century modern and industrial designs. “Pero wala pala akong particular design. I like it very eclectic. As long as I like it, I’d rather do a mix of it. My style now is a fusion of all the things I like.” “For now, happy naman ako. Basta every time may nakikita akong bago, even if I don’t know yet where to put it, I just get it. Eventually, we’ll find a place for it,” he adds.
