American Country Style for a Pinoy Home
Discover how former Real Living creative director Gwyn Guanzon created a Little House on the Prairie-inspired space
Since this subdivision has an American suburban theme, all of the houses have candy-colored exteriors and white picket fences. Inspired by these elements, former Real Living creative director and decorator Gwyn Guanzon chose an American-country feel for the interiors of the Andrade family home.
Gwyn explains that the style is more American than country because of the use of leather and stripes. He adds that instead of choosing bleached wood, he opted for dark wood. The living area, dining area, and den are filled with custom-made wooden pieces, chocolate brown upholstery, and leather details. These items are complemented by floral patterns on wallpaper, pillows, and decor.
