As the Villafuerte couple celebrated their silver wedding anniversary, they also marked another milestone in their 25 years together – moving from lessees to official homeowners – with the construction of their modern 700sqm house in a 1000sqm lot.

The couple together with architect Leo Parinas worked on the design and construction which took 16 months. The notable highlights of the home include clean lines, huge windows, a sweeping spiral staircase, high ceilings, neutral tones, and warm accent colors. The rigid lines made by the structure is balanced with comfortable furniture – as seen in the living room. The mint green walls and neon chairs amidst frosted glass cabinets and black cupboard give the kitchen an industrial yet vibrant look.  Most of the family's private time is spent upstairs. Together with the private rooms are spaces meant for fun and entertainment like the music room.

After 25 years of waiting to build their dream home, the couple has this little bit of wisdom to impart, “The style of your home shouldn't depend on what others say because it will come down to your lifestyle and your decisions. You should always call the shots!"
