A Modern Asian House in Singapore by a Filipino Architect
Design consultant Michael Cu Fua builds a contemporary-meets-oriental-style home for a Chinese-Malaysian couple

What kind of home do you want to have? This Chinese-Malaysian couple based in Singapore simply asked design consultant Michael Cu Fua of Ong & Ong for a property that is warm and posh — two adjectives that are not usually used in the same sentence. How can a house be warm and posh at the same time?
For Michael, the trick was to use Oriental furniture and accessories in a contemporary home! Asian-inspired pieces made from wood can add warmth to the two-storey structure defined by clean lines, clear glass, and modern materials. This unlikely combination results in a stunning space that the homeowners refer to as "pondokinda" or "beautiful house."
