Homeowner Marilu shares that she has always dreamed of having a country-style house. This dream finally came true when she and husband Caloy built this house in Antipolo.

Front Door

To make your front door seem more inviting, paint the entire surface with a soft, powder blue shade.

Another way to create a country feel is to decorate the space with wind chimes and bird houses.

For the veranda, you can also choose a woven furniture set especially designed for the outdoors. Make the seats more comfortable with blue pillows.

A whitewashed garden swing with cut-out details complete the outdoor space. This piece is perfect for parents that want to encourage their kids to go out and play.

Wall Planters

If you have a limited space, you may want to consider creating a vertical garden. The planters mounted on the wall are ideal for those that want to have flourishing plants in a small area.

Back of the House

The back of the house is as attractive as the front because of the rustic red brick wall.

The whitewashed staircase is a fitting addition to the space. Choose a traditional staircase for a clean feel.

Create a breakfast nook in an open area with wooden table and chairs.

Guest House

In 2012, Marilu and Caloy bought the adjacent lot, where they would eventually build this guesthouse. They now refer to it as The Barn.

Guest House

The classic barn house is completed with a Gambrel roof. It now serves as the kids' play area during parties and as a guesthouse for vacationing relatives.

Light bulb

Fill your home with enchanting details, such as this lightbulb inside a clear mason jar.

Joey's Corner

A handpainted sign is fixed on one of the towering trees in the lot.

Chair and Side Table

Find distressed, shabby chic-style furniture pieces at thrift stores and antique shops.

Another tree is marked with an inspiring quote that reads: "Home is where our story begins."

The sprawling lot is filled with sitting areas, making it a great place for entertaining guests.

A fountain is found in another corner of the garden. Choose water features for a tranquil and peaceful feel in your personal space.

Breakfast Nook

Another mini-dining set has been prepared on another side of the house. Put your furniture pieces to good use by placing them in different areas.

Bird Detail

Another thing that catches the attention is a stone bird decor resting on a pot of stones.

Water Pump

An antique "poso" or water pump decor spruces up another nook in the space. Use your personal belongings to add character to your home.
