In 2010, theater, film, and television actress Eugene Domingo decided to push through with a full-scale renovation of her 60sqm condominium unit which she shares with her two Shih Tzus.

For this makeover, she turned to Gwyn Guanzon, former creative director of Real Living magazine. She temporarily moved to another unit in the same building while the project was ongoing. Interestingly, there was a bit of drama behind the scenes, as she made use of her acting skills on Gwyn’s carpenters and electricians, thinking it would help speed things up. “Kunyari, hindi ako na-i-impress,” she relates.

As with her projects, the unit’s new look is a success. Eugene says it best: “Kahit na matagal akong wala, walang tao dito, pagbalik ko, I still feel at home. That’s the most important thing: that you always feel at home when you go back home.”
