Dimples Romana Surprises Helper of 17 Years With a House!
She and her husband spent years saving up for their helper's new home.
They say a reliable household help is hard to come by these days, but every so often, families are blessed with loyal kasambahays who have kind hearts. Actress Dimples Romana is one of them — their family’s helper, Ate V has been with them for 17 years.

To thank Ate V for her years of service, Dimples and her husband, Boyet Ahmee decided to surprise her with her very own house. Yes, you read that right — Ate V is now a proud owner of a brand new, two-bedroom townhouse.
They made the big reveal on Dimple’s latest vlog, uploaded on her YouTube channel. In the video, the couple, who have been investing in real estate properties since they got married 16 years ago, revealed that they valued Ate V’s opinion so much that they will not push through with a potential investment if Ate V did not agree with them.
“Sa totoo, siya talaga ang nanay ng bahay namin kasi most of the time I’m not there,” Dimples shares in the video. “I really value her opinion. Kapag sinabi niyang, ‘Dimps alam mo hindi makakabuti sa’tin ‘yan or hindi maganda ‘yan’ hindi ko talaga bibilhin.”
The couple adds that Ate V is not only trustworthy but she also cares for them a lot. She was also there for the couple when they were just starting out. Even if there were times when Dimples and Boyet could not afford to give her salary on time (the longest was seven months!), and even told her she could go home any time, “through thick and thin, hirap at ginhawa, sa meron at wala, hindi niya kami iniwan,” Dimples shares in the video’s description.
‘Oo para sa’yo to’
In the vlog, Dimples and Boyet toured Ate V around the new property, pretending that she was there to help them decide whether to buy the new house or not. From the start, their kasambahay already liked the house, saying “Dimps ok siya,” and that the house is beautiful.
“Approved, bilhin na natin,” she said at one point in the video.
When they got to the master’s bedroom, a standee of Ate Vi welcomed them. On the wall were balloons that spelled out the words, “Oo, para sa’yo to.”
Ate Vi was visibly overwhelmed — it took a few moments before she realized that the house was really meant for her. She shouted, “Hoy, ano ba ‘yan! Bakit ako,” in disbelief. Dimples was already crying and Ate Vi could not help but burst into tears as well.
She eventually found the words to thank Dimples and Boyet, and the couple’s children, Callie, 15, and Alonzo, 4, her alagas. "Thank you, thank you, sa inyong dalawa, pati sa mga bata, sina Alonzo at Callie. Baka hindi ko na alam ang timpla ng adobo dahil sa surprise na ito — walang pasabi. Diyos ko, thank you Lord,” Ate V said.
One of the biggest blessings
In the video description, Dimples shared that they consider Ate V as one of the biggest blessing in their life. “Kasama na namin siya nung nagsisimula pa lang kami. Puro dasal at pangarap pa lang kami nun. Nagsisimula pa lang mag-ipon.”
The mom of two adds that their family would not have been able to achieve their dreams had it not been for Ate V’s help and support. They also want to teach their two kids about the value of gratitude and sharing one’s blessings to others.
“My hubby and I believe that giving and sharing must always begin at home. We want Callie and Alonzo to know the value of gratitude and of sharing to family. Punong puno ang puso ko ng pasasalamat sa Diyos, dahil ngayon, maibabalik na namin sa kanya ang lahat ng pagmamahal at taon na ibinuhos nya sa amin,” Dimples writes.
