Cristine Reyes's Pristine and Tranquil Two-Storey Home

A few years before marrying husband Ali Khatibi and giving birth to daughter Amarah, Cristine found solace in the suburban area, south of Metro Manila. While it is not her first home—she also stayed in her family home in Marikina City destroyed by Typhoon Ondoy in 2009 and in a luxurious townhouse in Quezon City—she says that this one meant the most to her as it mirrored her state of mind at that time.  

A lot of people are surprised when they find out that Cristine took charge of the three-month renovation process of the house. Although she had the help of an interior-designer friend, she also had a keen eye for design. The actress stayed on top of shopping for all the furniture and choosing color schemes for each room. She ended up going for an all-white palette with hints of color ranging from periwinkle to crimson and recessed lighting that helped the entire space exude a calmer vibe.
