Actor Aljur Abrenica is one of the many celebrities who chose to invest in a property in Quezon City. After all, the city isn’t just accessible, it’s conveniently located near two of the country’s biggest networks. Aljur’s three-storey townhouse stands out—as beyond the striking red gate is an inviting industrial-inspired haven completed with wooden elements, exposed bricks and piping, bold colors, and works of art. The home, which has a very bachelor’s pad feel, was designed by Aljur’s good friend, screenwriter-director Richard V. Somes who is also a production designer and an art director.

After the birth of Alas Joaquin, his son with actress Kylie Padilla, Aljur plans to work on a few adjustments in the space while still maintaining its original vibe. “Tapos makahanap na lang ng ibang place para sa bata. Pero for now, siymepre babaguhin muna namin…Si Kylie naman bahala magde-design,” he shares.
