A classic style for Heart Evangelista's high-rise condo unit
Victorian pieces and a light color palette change the home of actress Heart Evangelista
Actress and TV host Heart Evangelista lives in a condominium unit with a stunning view of the Makati City skyline. Her father, businessman Reynaldo Ongpauco, oversaw the renovation of the space to create a home influenced by a Victorian design style with a neutral palette and hardwood furniture and floors.

Heart has a relaxing living room, which is done mostly in white and earthy brown. The space is kept organized, with books, trophies, and photo frames arranged in a built-in cabinet with open shelves. A pendant lamp is the room’s light source, apart from the huge picture windows that let in abundant sunlight.
The free-flowing layout Heart’s condominium unit easily reveals to the guests the kitchen, a dining area, and a living area. Even though the home is filled with large-scale furniture, the space doesn’t look cramped because of the wide floor area and absence of concrete walls.
In the dining area is a heavy dining room table, with matching dining chairs in a lighter wood finish. An ornate gilded mirror is strategically placed on one wall, making the room seem even larger.
A console table holds two identical lamps, wooden bird figurines, and prized photos of Heart’s family and friends.
Heart’s open kitchen is also European-inspired, with French cabinets and balusters on the island counter. Corners were cleverly designed to hold extra storage, and one area displays intricate plates and fine China.
Reynaldo also designed the walk-in closet for the Kapuso leading lady’s prized possessions. Her clothes are placed on identical wooden hangers and arranged according to type and color. Some of her necklaces and Hermes belts are kept on a black dress form that serves as a home accessory and a storage option. The rest of her accessories are kept in an island with a glass top to make it easier for Heart to find whatever she needs to complete her outfits.
A corner of her space is reserved for her bags from Louis Vuitton, Goyard, Balenciaga, and Chanel. She also has shoes from Prada, Dior, Gucci, Michael Kors, Giuseppe Zannoti, and Manolo Blahnik.
The European style of the home continues in the master bedroom, with the magnificent Victorian four-poster bed serving as the main focal point. Not to be outdone is a Venetian mirror dresser, where Heart displays her perfume collection. The classic glass-etched piece is a gift from Heart’s father. Flanking Heart’s bed are identical wooden side tables, also done in a walnut-stained finish. Two lamp with glass bases complete the symmetrical look.
The bathroom may look sparse compared to other areas of the house, but it still evokes the classic theme with its oblong-shaped mirror and ceramic kitchen sink.
