Reader Question: What Can I Do With A Mirror Without A Frame?

Q: We have an old mirror here (about 2.5ft x 4ft) that doesn't have a frame. I'm thinking of making it the focal point of our room with a custom frame. I'm sure Paete wood carvers can make one for me but it's too far. I hope you can refer Metro Manila-based suppliers. 

A: If you want high-quality workmanship at an affordable price, be prepared for an out-of-town trip. The best wood carvers can be found in Betis, Pampanga and Paete, Laguna. They are skilled craftsmen and can provide you with the type of mirror that you want. It will be worth the long trip to have an instant treasure in your home—something that will increase in value over time.
