A 24sqm Unit for a Young Writer in Makati

The Philippine School of Interior Design graduating students chose sweet and romantic details for this home in the city

What can you do with a 24sqm homeThe Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) graduating students explore the possibilities through Studio 24, an interior design exhibit with 24 different units that measure 24 square meters each.

One of the 24 spaces is a studio unit for Kat, a novelist who published her first book before she even graduated from college. Here are the 5 things that we liked best in this bachelorette pad:

The Paris-Inspired Feel

Since the homeowner loved the quaint boutiques, sidewalk cafes, and pebble-covered streets in the City of Love, graduating students Cynthia Lagandaon, Jeanette Gomez, Alecx Galvez, Margo Felix, Charie Exconde, and Denise Alcantara chose a Parisian look for this 24sqm space.

The Unique Padded Wall

We immediately noticed the padded gray wall in this studio unit! This unexpected feature makes the home feel warm and cozy.

The Regal Dome Chair

Another thing that instantly caught our attention is the dome chair. This gray piece is the perfect seat for enjoying a good book or even watching movies.

The Dainty Kitchen and Dining Area

A few steps away from the bed area is the kitchen and dining area. Instead of square white tiles, the students used uniquely shaped tiles for the kitchen backsplash.

The Elegant Bathroom

The white drapes, crystal chandelier, and printed tiles make the bathroom feel like a luxurious space.

Studio 24 will run from October 3 to 31, 2015 at the Ronac Lifestyle Center, Paseo de Magallanes, Makati City. Admission is free.
