Modern Minimalist Style for a 24sqm Unit in Makati
The Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) graduating students create the perfect bachelor pad for a sports blogger
What can you do with a 24sqm home? The Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) graduating students explore the possibilities through Studio 24, an interior design exhibit with 24 different units that measure 24 square meters each.
One of the 24 spaces is a studio unit for a 27-year-old guy who works full-time as a sports blogger. Here are the 4 things that we immediately noticed in this man cave:
The All-White Space
Graduating students Paoleth Jansalin, Cherry Garcia, Grace Buenafe, and Xene Buenviaje created a modern minimalist look by picking out white ceiling, walls, and floor materials. They also chose white furniture and accessories for the private haven.
The Chrome Details
The furniture pieces look even more interesting because of the polished chrome details. The gleaming finishes add to the futuristic appeal of the small space.
If you would also like to make your home look like something out of a sci-fi novel or film, you may also want to invest in white pieces with chrome legs.
The Bed with Drawers
This home also reminds us that you don't need to sacrifice function for the sake of style! Although the space looks impressive, it is still has a lot of practical and useful features, including a bed with built-in drawers.
The Wall-Mounted Work Desk
Since the home is supposed to have a clean and streamlined look, the bedroom is furnished with a cool built-in work desk. The lack of table legs also helps the homeowner make the most of the limited floor area.
Studio 24 will run from October 3 to 31, 2015 at the Ronac Lifestyle Center, Paseo de Magallanes, Makati City. Admission is free.
