Jumpstart Your Day: 5 Creative Ways to Use String Lights

Who said string lights are only for Christmas?

We're used to seeing string lights at home just in time for the holiday season. However, these Christmas staples aren't just for the Christmas tree! You don't have to wait until December to put these up and add a whimsical touch to your space.

These lights are a great way to upgrade simple furniture and make them more magical. Here are five different ways to use them around the house.

Photo Wall

Do away with boring picture frames and make this easy project with just strings, string lights, and some clothespins (paper clips work, too!). Hang your prints and chosen photos to spruce up a wall in your bedroom. Choose white lights to make the photos stand out even more.

The headboard in this picture not only becomes an awesome décor for the bedroom, it also substitutes as a night light. If you want a more decorative piece, you can paint the panels in different colors or decorate it with your favorite pattern.

Fairy Light Jars

String lights are also called fairy lights because they look like little fairies and make their surroundings look magical. Capture the magic inside a mason jar with this DIY tutorial. Use these jars to liven up the dining table or in the garden to make it more romantic.

Feel like a princess with this quick hack! Make your plain old mirrors more whimsical and romantic by arranging string lights around it. This can also work with the bathroom vanity.

Outdoor Dining Area

Make your backyard dining area more charming by weaving string lights through trees and your larger plants. Use string lights with bigger bulbs and arrange them on the table. Doing this creates a more festive air and will make simple get-togethers cozier and more meaningful.
