There is no specific style for writer Yvette Fernandez’s apartment: there are Pinoy elements, like the furniture inherited from her grandparents and the light fixtures in the dining room. There are also modern touches, such as her streamlined sofa and the Dali-esque clock “melting” on the stairs. And there are even hints of quirkiness—contemporary art by children’s book illustrators and bold pops of color in the kitchen, her sofa, and on her front door.

Discover how to create a similar look for your own home with these furniture and accessories.
