RL Ideas: Decorating with Plants

Warm up your space with a bunch of live, potted plants

If you can’t afford an extra armchair or a sleek floor lamp to fill up an empty spot in the room, the most pocket-friendly option to warm up your space is to get a bunch of live, potted plants.

How to make it work:

Place them on top of dining tables and consoles; position them next to sofas in the absence of a side table, or perch a plant on the seat of an empty chair.

You may also want to try:

An enormous palm tree

This classic stylist’s touch entails propping up a potted palm tree next to a sofa in a living room. It’s a surefire way to add a focal point to the room, especially if your furniture pieces are less than stellar.
