There are many ways to improve the look of the home. You may opt for a paint job, work on a new furniture layout, or add a few decorative touches. If you also want to add a relaxing touch to your home, you can start a mini garden indoors. This will give your home a refreshing touch while improving the vibe and feel of your space.

As with any endeavor, you might have many questions when it comes to adding greens to your home. Keep in mind that you can still create your own personal oasis minus a huge lawn. Interior designer Hannah-Acab Faustino shares these tips:

What's the best way to arrange indoor plants?

Work on a casual arrangement. “Arrange them in odd numbers and asymmetrically, so they appear to be more natural.” “I usually tell my students not to 'punish' plants by making them face the corner of the wall. 0ftentimes, plants are just used to soften corners of the rooms, symmetrically laid out, which make them appear ‘being punished’ at the corner of a room,” Hannah explains.

How can I add plants in a small condo unit?

Liven up corners with plants. “Put plants on pedestals that you can locate in corners of rooms. You may also integrate plants with some of your tabletop accessories on console tables or coffee tables, or as a dining centerpiece. For kitchen spaces, you can have an herb container that you can place near windows," Hannah shares.

Is it important to have the house plant-scaped along with its interior?

Make plants part of the whole space from the start. “If you are putting plants (which you should) in an interior, integrate it with the whole interior, and not just as an afterthought when designed rooms look bare,” the designer suggests.
