DIY: Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Give your reflection a happy hit of color and pattern

Combine two trends­—hot colors and funky florals—in this romantic, painted mirror (we chose a gold frame for a bit of luxe). Treat it as artwork and hang it in a prominent spot, like above a console table in the foyer, or nestle it in a private corner, like on top of your dresser table. Just don’t look at it too long!

How long this will take: One afternoon

Materials:

  • Medium-sized mirror 
  • Quick-drying acrylic paint
  • Fine paintbrush
  • Wax pencil
  • Old newspapers
