DIY Nesting Tables

Q: I’ve been dreaming of owning nesting tables, but I can’t bring myself to buy because the prices are a bit high. What are the dimensions of nesting tables for a set of three or four? I plan to make my own for my 12sqm living room and 9sqm bedroom. — Chelin Lea via Facebook

A: Building your own set of nesting tables will give you the freedom to play with dimensions! Measure the space where you would like to place your tables to get the width and depth of the first table. The standard height can range between 22-30 inches, with the most common being 24 inches.

But if you’re using it as an end table or as a nightstand, it’s best to follow the same height as your sofa’s armrest or your mattress. Once you have the dimensions for the tallest table, you can then adjust your measurements in increments of two to three inches so that the next table will fit inside your first table, and so on.

Clear Idea

Q: Do you know where I can get a set of clear glass nesting tables? - Ryan Benedict Ongpauco via Facebook

A: You can find sleek, simple nesting tables at Dimensione. A set of two acrylic nesting tables sells for P6,795, while a set of three glass nesting tables goes for P14,950.
