We’re Loving the Details of Heart Evangelista’s New Home

Building a new home is no easy feat—it involves months of planning, construction, sourcing for the right pieces, and finally putting everything together under one roof. After these grueling processes, it’s a given for homeowners to feel extra excited as the big move nears. Actress and artist Heart Evangelista is a testament to this. She was so hands-on from day one—going from one store to the next with the Heim Interiors team just to find the best bath fixture or lighting piece for her dream home.

Based on the regular updates she shares on Instagram, we can surmise that it will be a beautiful and spacious abode. Now that construction is in its final stages, Heart has been posting snapshots of details that make her home truly unique and a must-see! Here are a few teasers we liked best:

1. The archway near the stairs


The archway not only accentuates the height of the space, it also works well with the windows that let in natural light into the home. If you're currently working on your own space or planning to renovate an old property, you may want to explore the possibility of having an archway. It's an important structural element that can support upper floors while giving your home a vintage meets contemporary appeal.

2. The marble floor tiles and chic pillows


It's easy to notice the marble tiles chosen for the home's flooring. When paired with these sophisticated pillows, we can already imagine the inviting and hotel-like vibe that Heart's home will have. Sticking to a color palette when choosing furnishings can make it easier for you to stay true to the theme and achieve a cohesive aesthetic.

3. The extra special work of art in the master bedroom


Heart's home wouldn't be complete without her paintings. In the master bedroom, a special work of art takes the spotlight. According to her Instagram post, it was a collaboration that she and husband Chiz worked on for their wedding.

RL Tip: If you are also displaying a huge wall art on a blank wall, make it your focal point. Take your cue from Heart's room—to highlight the artwork, it is only flanked by sleek table lamps.

4. The envy-worthy outdoor furniture


To spruce up this part of the house, Heart chose pieces from the Julia collection of designer Ito Kish. The said collection takes inspiration from the designer's grandmother and her provincial home. Each piece is made from rattan and Polyethylene plastic. The black-and-white Julia Outdoor Highback Chair is paired with the Julia Side Table for a unified look. It's not surprising that Heart chose this finish as she loves white.


5. The space allotted for storage


This room is every homeowner's dream! The floor-to-ceiling shelf houses a vast collection of dinnerware that will surely make hosting get-togethers a breeze. Each niche holds a set of plates, glassware, and other essentials. There's also a movable ladder that can make it easier for the owner to get what she needs from the upper shelves.

6. The gold wall mounted handrail


Straight out of a fairy tale, the wall mounted handrail features a golden finish and details that mimic that of tree branches. To complement this lovely detail, a stair runner in pink livens up the stairs. Hints of the said color are seen in this nook, too—from the wall detail to the featured works of art.

7. This stunning painting of lovely blooms


Six months in the making, this inspiring work of art is from Heart's LM in Full Bloom art collection which is slated for 2018. It now holds a special place in the new home—a fitting piece to dress up a blank wall.
