While you're busy entertaining friends and family, we're sure that many of you are already thinking about New Year's day festivities on the side. With only a few days in between celebrations (some are even work days!), you might be feeling a little overwhelmed. Don't let the stress get to you. Kim Jones, model and actor Jericho Rosales's better half, recently organized a party and she came up with a stunning setup in such a short time! How did she do it? A little help from friends and time spent on Pinterest proved to be useful.

The couple's Mexican-themed party can be your peg. With only a few essentials, whimsical lights, good food, and relaxing music—you and your loved ones are all set for an unforgettable shindig. Check out our tips and ideas below:

If you've seen our short feature on Jericho and Kim's beautiful house, you'll know that they have a charming outdoor area. Kim used the space to her advantage by transforming the space by the pool and near the dining nook into a quaint venue. A tent was put up and bulbs with warm lights were hung. The warm glow adds to the cozy mood of the gathering.

Smooth wooden pallets in a natural finish served as the setup's focal point/dining table. Over 15 pallets were used and fixed at the center of the space. If you're looking for similar pieces, a trip to Dapitan Arcade or Divisoria is a must. Believe it or not, Lazada might be able to help you, too!

Echo and Kim's friends were impressed with the setup that they snapped photos and posted them on Instagram. To recreate Kim's Pinterest-worthy party, here are more ideas and must-haves to look up:

The wooden pallets were surrounded by these lovely rugs. Guests happily sat on the ground to enjoy food and drinks. According to another post by Kim, these are Uzbek suzanis owned by one of their friends, Sunshine Flores. A suzani is an embroidered type of textile that hails from Central Asia. (source)

The captivating patterns on the fabric can double as a background for IG-worthy photos, too. You can purchase your own suzanis at My Ottoman Home in Makati. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

Don't forget the pillows to make your guests feel more comfortable and at home. Since the suzanis are colorful and filled with patterns, you may opt for pillows in neutral colors and varying textures. H&M Home has a wide selection of pillows. Visit them at G/F SM Makati, Ayala Center, Makati City.

Keep the dinnerware simple and classy. Have glasses for water and wine, a plate for the main course, and a set of utensils. Aside from a refreshing centerpiece, you may want to liven up the pallets with your best plates. Bring out your collection and see which one matches the party's theme. Sticking to white creates an elegant appeal.

Completing the dining setup is the simple yet sophisticated centerpiece. Kim paired greens and simple blooms with candles in glass containers. Slim candleholders add a vintage spin to the look as well. These accessories lend a laidback feel to the party.

All set for your next party? We don't want pests ruining the occasion! Being outdoors can be fun, but don't forget to include bug and mosquito repellents on your list of essentials.
