This 14sqm Space Is An Ideal Room Peg

Perfect for a compact apartment or even in a big house!

When looking at bedroom photos, there are different elements that catch one’s eye. It can be the color scheme, the pieces used, the mix of accessories, and even the type of sheets. However, at the end of a long day, it all boils down to how comfortable the space is and how you can still do the things you love within it. After all, it’s not enough that a room is pleasing to the eye—it needs to be a functional place with an efficient layout.

Take for example this 14sqm unit found in Moscow, Russia. Given the limited floor area, it might be impossible to move around while still ensuring ease, cleanliness, and style. The solution? A multifunctional box that houses the bed, bookshelf, the closet, and a couple of storage nooks.

The pull-out drawers and floor-to-ceiling shelf are enough for storing extra linen, pillows, toiletries, and other knickknacks.

With one side of the unit maximized, this leaves the other side free for additional pieces. The designers opted for a sleek table with a Scandinavian touch paired with an equally beautiful chair. Since the table has additional storage crannies, the owner can keep papers, pens, and other essentials in place.

The open space is perfect for when you have friends over for movie night—just add a rug and a couple of floor pillows. It can also accommodate an extra mattress for sleepovers.

RL Tip: For a similar desk, you may want to check out the Ariana Desk available at Mozaic Living. Click here for more details.

The opposite side also features a multipurpose wall that serves as a memo board (chalkboard part), a mirror (when you slide the panel), and a blank surface (where one can project a movie or TV show).
