A Spray Foam Mirror Is the Stylish DIY Decor Your Room Needs Right Now
It's social media's new favorite mirror selfie accessory.
People on social media are decorating their mirrors with spray foam, and it's the unexpectedly stylish piece of decor that'll elevate your space. The best thing about it? It's easy to do at home, not to mention very affordable.
It's said that the trend began when everyone fell in love with the foam-covered pieces by Swedish furniture designer Gustaf Westman. His unique curvy mirrors are hits as well, so combine the two together and you'll have the internet's new favorite DIY project: Spray foam mirrors.
Foam mirrors are made with expanding spray foam, which is typically used for sealing gaps between pipes and wires. It just happens to have a pretty cloud-like finish when dispensed out of the can! Interested in trying it out? Check out the DIY foam mirrors below for some inspiration:
Content creator Tina of Style Appetite used short horizontal strokes to achieve a uniform coating on this full body mirror.
Small mirrors look just as good with cloud-like edges, and this desk-sized mirror is proof.
Australian TV personality and entrepreneur Flex Mami painted her hexagon foam mirror pink. Doesn't it look like cotton candy?
Even Filipina fashion blogger Laureen Uy is in on the trend, displaying a petite rectangle piece on one of her condo's nooks. Instead of DIY-ing it though, she ordered hers from the online decor shop Likha.
