While everyone’s taking a break and going to the beach, actress and artist Solenn Heussaff shared a photo of her cozy living area on Instagram, relishing the peaceful ambiance of the city during Holy Week.

Designed by Heim Interiors, the condo unit she shares with husband Nico Bolzico is a picture-perfect example of how patterns and rich colors can transform a space into an inviting haven. According to the design team’s website, the aesthetic highlights elements inspired by Moroccan design to create a luxurious yet comfortable home that the owners and their guests will love.

Without a doubt, the living area is peg-worthy—with a pretty combination of furniture, accessories, and an unobstructed view of the city. If you want to achieve something similar, we’ve got picks and ideas to guide you.

Pick a sofa that fits in the space.

You don’t need to purchase a sectional sofa that can take up a huge chunk of your space. A comfy compact piece is enough to allow you to sit back, relax, and entertain friends. Take your cue from Solenn and Nico’s space—a white or cream-colored sofa can serve as a blank canvas so you can pile on pillows and throws in different textures to achieve warmth.

RL Tip: It might be difficult to maintain a light-colored sofa. Keep it clean with a slipcover.

Bring the outdoors in with potted plants.

Living in a condo may limit your options when it comes to starting a garden. Add a nature-inspired touch to your space with big potted plants and green wonders in cute planters as tabletop décor. These must-haves balance out the hustle and bustle of the city and can help calm your nerves, too!

Invest in the right pieces that will complement your space—take inspiration from our picks:

(1 and 4) Reward yourself with a designer piece.

Solenn and Nico’s living area features Kenneth Cobonpue’s Chiquita Stool and Vito Selma’s Alegra Chair. Both pieces showcase excellent craftsmanship, with the former highlighting rattan poles and high-density foam, while the latter is known for its woven abaca fibers and sturdy frame.

(2) Get creative with pillows.

Don’t settle for simple ones—get fluffy pieces in lively colors, patterns, and designs for an interesting setup. If you’re buying a light-colored sofa, liven it up with pillows in different textures to keep it from being boring. The Olive Tree Corporation offers pieces with whimsical designs that can brighten up any nook.

(3) Anchor your living area with a captivating rug.

When Solenn posted the photo of her living area, many instantly fell in love with her colorful area rug. Her chosen rug matches the rest of her décor while adding a bright punch to the laid-back space. Layering rugs can add warmth to your home. Depending on the look you’re going for, you can pick one with bold colors to liven up a room.

(5) Pick a sturdy wooden table that complements your home’s look.

A wooden table can hold a vignette of unique accessories, plants, and books. Pick a table with a dark wood finish to complement the plants and soft furnishings in your space.
