RL Styles: 3 Ways To Decorate A Vignette
From Oriental to Shabby Chic, we've got you covered
Everyone can appreciate a nice vignette. Whether it's a collection of curated books or one-of-a-kind travel souvenirs, it's a classic feature that you can find in any well-designed home.
What's not to like? It's a great way to showcase your favorite memories with the family and a perfect conversation starter when you have guests over. To inspire you to create one on your own, we've put together three ways you can style it!
Watch the video for some tips:
Ease the strong look of concrete, ceramics, and metal with colorful pieces of artwork. Displaying art also draws your eye to the back of the setup, giving it extra depth and dimension. Achieve a seamless look by working with indoor plants and mosaic pieces with complex designs.
Mix books, magazines, and decorative knickknacks that you like or must-haves with sentimental value to give your arrangement personality. You can also try experimenting with different textures, vintage-inspired items, and a color scheme grounded in neutrals for a more feminine feel.
Too many novelty bits and pieces can make any display look cluttered. To avoid this, consider going for a theme (i.e. Asian-influenced pieces) and fill the negative space with these to create a vignette that has balance and scale.
