See the new and refreshing look of the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation
For more than two decades, the Mabuhay Desert Foundation has been performing around 3,000 free operations per year to correct conditions such as club feet, cleft palate, cataracts, and cross-eye for the poor. As the largest surgical charity in the Philippines, the foundation has Filipino doctors who volunteer their time while local hospitals give discounts on the use of their facilities.
Design 36 – a group of graduating interior design students from the University of the Philippines-Diliman launched Project Lunas, a project for the benefit of Mabuhay Deseret Foundation. It aims to create innovative interior spaces for differently-abled persons and children undergoing surgery and treatments.
The 21-day renovation resulted in a calming space with soothing colors, DIY touches, recycled materials, and intelligent space planning.
