Snow White

If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, forego the lace and frills and opt for sleek lines instead. Place a bright-colored sofa in a sea of white accessories such as a Panton-inspired chair, a posh Bourgie lamp, and merry reindeer décor. What about the trees? DIY it with 2-D Christmas trees made of cut-out foam board—a beautiful but affordable touch!

DIY Modern Christmas Tree

If you feel that a big, fuzzy Christmas tree won’t go well in your modernist digs, try these sleek DIY  pieces!

  1. Use two  20” x 30” white foam boards.
  2. Draw a tree pattern on the boards.
  3. Use an X-acto knife to carefully cut out the pattern.
  4. Slip one tree onto the notch of the other tree.
LBT (Little Black Tree)

This grownup holiday setting is as chic as a cocktail dress and just as easy. Be brave with an all-black, plastic tableau that spells Christmas drama.

Decorate the tree with an asymmetrical assemblage of glass décor, and finish it off with moody, Thomas Paul-inspired artwork.

Merry Mix-Up

This young and spirited setup gets its spunk from a brash mix of textures and materials. The gold Christmas tree makes a bold and unexpected accent against modern, transparent furniture and décor. Keep the whole look down-to-earth with a cozy, overstuffed denim-and-Lucite armchair.
