Q: I want to have a hotel-like style for my two bedrooms and bathroom in my condo unit. Any tips? —Carolina Hinal via Facebook

A: I understand why you would want the feel of hotel rooms—they bring a sense of calm the moment you step inside the room.

For a hotel-like style, you should start by keeping your space clutter-free. There's nothing like a pile of mess to stress you out!

Next, stick to neutrals. You don't necessarily have to go with boring, plain colors, but do choose a cool, calming palette.

Add dimension with plush beddings, smooth metals and glass, and textured surfaces.

Complete the space with small details, like room fragrance, fresh flowers, and strategically placed accessories.
