Meghan Markle Has Got Awesome Taste In Interiors
The fiance of Prince Harry has a casual but sophisticated decorating style, as seen in these Instagram photos of her Toronto home
British royals are destined to live ceremonially in magnificent city palaces with Great Rooms and ballrooms for a thousand people. On weekends, they escape to their country estates, or to a castle somewhere in Scotland.
With all eyes peeled on actress and soon-to-be-royal Meghan Markle, it isn’t any surprise that her former house in Toronto—the home where she lived in while filming Suits, and where fiancé Prince Harry reportedly visited her—is now up for sale at a premium price, according to this article by Town & Country Philippines.
While the three-bedroom, two-bathroom house in Seaton Village is far from being a palace, the way Meghan decorated it when she was still living there showed that she has pretty good taste. Taking a peek at it through the main entrance, we could see that it’s done in a neutral palette of cream and oatmeal, with touches of natural wood, rustic woven elements, and a bit of gilt.
Her living room is dominated by a huge, cream-colored couch, and of course her two beloved dogs, Bogart and Guy.
The focal point in the room is the huge, antique, French-style mirror, which adds a nice vintage touch to the contemporary home. You can find a similar mirror locally at Lucina Home.
Her bedroom is done up in white, with a beautifully upholstered, tufted dove-gray headboard. You can have a headboard like this customized at Urban Abode.
In her guest bedroom, Meghan proudly hangs this watercolor nude above a bed with a natural-wood frame. For a similar bed, try the Tatsuma Ash from Habitat.
On Instagram, the actress always takes snaps of herself shopping for flowers. She especially loves peonies, and fills corners of her living room and bedroom with the exuberant pink blooms.
And we can’t help but be envious of her very organized (and well-stocked) shoe closet. (To see other celebrities’ shoe closets, click here.)
Meghan loves to take photos of interiors when she travels, like the rooms of exotic hotels, resthouses, and palatial rooms like in this IG post. It is wonderful to think that she will soon be living in a palace just like this!
