LOOK: A Peek At Dove Girl Tippi Ocampo’s Home and Studio
The Pinay in the soap’s current ad campaign is a noted fashion designer whose home was featured on RL’s pages!
We recently clicked on a Huffington Post article on Dove’s new global #RealBeauty campaign featuring real women instead of celebrities and supermodels. We were totally surprised to see Filipino fashion designer Tippi Ocampo as one of the featured women (and on the main photo, no less) photographed by internationally renowned photographer Mario Testino!
The charming, silver-haired designer shares some of the behind-the-scenes moments of that special shoot in her blog here.
Tippi is well known for her feminine designs with a Filipino touch, and we have in fact featured her home and studio many times on Real Living magazine’s pages and on this site. Here is a sneak peek at her atelier as it appeared in the June 2010 issue of the magazine, when it just opened:
Tippi’s atelier is just like her work: delicate, feminine, and with elegant refurbished furniture pieces.
“I call it my ‘drawing room’ because it’s where people meet, and also where my sketches come to life,” she says in the 2010 interview. “I do most of my conceptualizing of designs, planning of collections, and sketching there, and it’s also where I invite people to come over for consultations and fittings.”
The Real Living team could also never forget her and husband Ito’s cool, vintage home, which appeared in the October 2007 issue of RL. The couple used refurbished 1960s-70s furniture and décor along with brand new pieces, which went well in their mid-century home.
