When one thinks of high-end living, the initial impression is having a huge house with a pool and other amenities—but the truth is that luxury residential abodes are not necessarily your teleserye mansions; they are often compact spaces in posh zip codes, which have been carefully planned and curated.
“You can’t say that luxe is a matter of having a lot of space,” says Ivy Almario, Design Director of Atelier Almario. “Size is no longer a factor because of the cost of real estate… That narrows it down to some things that never change. It is the materiality. How do you compose the materials that will plan the space?”
