A Van Transformed Into A DIY Camper
This transformation proves that you can be creative even with the smallest of spaces
Whether it is for exploring the great outdoors or enjoying a long ride, camper vans are surely dependable. English couple Karl and Sarah Watkinson took their love for the outdoors to the next level by converting a Mercedes Benz Sprinter into a functional and cozy camper van. It took them months to work on the self-built vehicle, but it's all worth it in the end. With some DIY knowledge, creativity, tools, and a lot of spare time, you can also make your own camper and make your ride more habitable.
Insulation and Installation
After removing the seats, the couple cleaned the inside of the vehicle and installed the windows. They followed this with proper insulation, a crucial part of the project. To control ventilation and reduce condensation inside, they completed the ceiling with plywood and thermal insulation sheets. For a comfortable ride, the van also has its own water system and electricity, thanks to solar panels.
Living Area
The living area is fitted right for sitting, eating, and sleeping. It has enough space to accommodate up to four people, and given the tight area, it's also convertible into a bed.
KitchenÂ
What's a trip without a satisfying meal? You can cook in the kitchen with its long, narrow sink, a two-burner stovetop, and an ample counter where you can get some work done. The oven is conveniently placed beside the cabinet.
 Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a toilet and shower stands behind the driver's seat.
