Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2017 was a surprising choice: Greenery is a far departure from 2016’s muted Rose Quartz and Serenity, and 2015’s rich Marsala. The color forecasting agency’s website describes it as “a refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.”

Although touted by some designers as a difficult color to use, the striking hue—which is a cross between celery green and lime—Greenery is versatile, and can work remarkably well in a white, modern interior with touches of warm wood and woven materials.

If you have qualms using the color trend on an entire room, try introducing Greenery in small doses by way of decorative accessories and accent furniture. Here are some ideas:
