If you've been juggling your precious time between buying presents, checking to-do lists, and other activities, then you need not worry about styling the home for parties and reunions. In just six easy steps, you can achieve a festive vibe that you and your guests would love.

Keep in mind these reminders from interior designer Anla Li-Tan:

  • Choose a holiday theme or color scheme to give your space a cohesive and impressive look. You can appreciate the final output when you're done putting up the last decor piece at home.

RL Tip: Aside from adorning the house with green and red accessories, you can try having a white Christmas at home or a quirky blue-themed holiday setup.

  • To instantly spruce up the living area, you can change your throw pillow covers to festive shades of red and green. As an alternative, you can also wrap existing pillows with red ribbons to make these pieces look like Christmas presents.

  • Dress up your doors, walls, windows, and stair railings with garlands and Christmas lights. You can be as creative and adventurous as you wish but make sure you stick to your chosen theme.
  • Aside from hanging Christmas wreaths on doors, you can also display them as table centerpieces! Add candelabras or potted poinsettias in the middle of the table to keep it classy.

  • Use nylon strings to suspend small lanterns, lights, gold stars, glittery balls, and crystal snowflakes from the ceiling. You can also hang them on the chandelier.
  • For those who want to keep things simple at home, you can create a holiday vignette using candleholders, clear jars and trays, and mini trees. Place these on your center or console table. Don't just leave them there! You can arrange them on a tray and make sure you style them with candy canes, pine cones, extra Christmas balls, and a couple of gold and red ribbons for a sweet and classic Christmas touch.
