5 Ways to Use Musical Instruments as Decor

Show off your love for music with these tips

You don’t have to be a rock star to appreciate the edgy-cool vibe that musical instruments can add to your home. Follow these tips and bulky instruments will no longer take up precious storage space. If you have roommates or kids who share the same passion for beats and tunes, you can avoid clutter by turning their gear into accent pieces that can add a special touch to your home:

As wall accent

Don’t have a stand for your precious guitars, ukuleles, or violins? Grab a bunch of guitar hangers—visit any music store to score a couple and arrange your instruments by color, size, or any order of your preference to fill up a blank wall.

As tabletop decor

Vintage brass instruments are all the rage in home decor, but instead of using a repurposed instrument like the one above, why not use the real thing? Simply place it by your bedside table or coffee table for a personal touch.

As bedroom decor

You can whip out your craft materials and revamp old tambourines using ribbons, strings, paint, and felt tip pens. You can also add this in your kids' bedrooms or playroom—where they can be used as toys.

As storage

Do you still have your old set of drums? You can have three pieces flattened out on one side to be used as cute and clever storage pieces. Repaint them or wrap them in pretty fabric for a sweet pop of color.

As a side table in the bedroom

In between gigs, you can use your amplifiers as a makeshift beside table. Repurpose the big one to hold more decor and essentials and keep it as is for a quirky touch.
