5 Ways to Liven Up Old and Plain Christmas Balls
Decorate your tree with colorful and unique ornaments
How many times have you bought a set of Christmas balls for your tree? There are those who buy new sets due to a couple or reasons: some pieces have cracks or chips, a few have been misplaced, and others have lost its luster.
If you are decorating the home just in time for the holidays, keep in mind that you don't really have to buy new balls this year. Gather what you have and consider sprucing it up with a few DIY touches. Here are five ideas that you can try:

Fill it with sweet treats
If you have transparent balls, you may want to turn them into instant favors. Clean each ball properly and dry it well. Fill each with colorful candy to make it interesting.
RL Tip: Hang these balls on Christmas Day and ask your nieces, nephews, and inaanaks to get one. Don't leave them on display for a long time as ants may troop to your tree.

If you already have plain balls at home, you may use glitters to add sparkle to your tree. Simply cover it in glue and dip it a bowl of glitters. Make sure the balls are dry before you hang and display them.
RL Tip: You may also do this trick with styrofoam balls. Paint each with your chosen color and spruce it up with glitters.
If you're not too keen on working with glitters, you may choose to wrap the balls with glittery ribbons instead.

Write your favorite quotes and lyrics
Got scraps of paper at home? Write down your favorite quote, bible verse, or song lyric. Once done, you can attach these to the balls using ribbons or twine. You may choose to work with lyrics of your favorite Christmas songs for a playful touch.

Add a rustic touch to your tree by wrapping each ball with burlap. You can even use extra burlap scraps as ribbons that you can use to style your tree.

Personalize with photos
To add a heartwarming touch to your decor this year, you may hang photos of your loved ones and furry friends! Print your favorite photos and stick them to the balls using a strong adhesive. This idea can make your loved ones feel appreciated, plus, it adds a special touch to your tree too!
