Keep these tips in mind:

Create a harmonious design.

When creating an eclectic bathroom, you must incorporate your chosen pieces with one common focal point. If you have both wooden Asian and country-styled furniture, place them together! Just don’t overdo it by adding elements that don’t match with your focal point as this will make your bathroom look cluttered.

Choose unique tiles.

Having the right tiles can help you achieve an eclectic vibe. Invest in quality pieces by going for ceramic glazed tiles in various patterns. This will help you create a polished look as well. Learn tips on tile shopping here.

RL Tip: If you have a specific design in mind, you may have your tiles customized! Specialty stores offer this service and a couple of mosaic tiles, too.

Mix vintage and contemporary pieces.

The key to making the eclectic look work is utilizing the old and the new. Try hanging your ancient Spanish artworks above your modern, all-white tub. This mix can help add character to your space.

Add innovative fixtures.

Eclectic design allows you to veer away from the usual plain white bathroom fixtures. Visit stores that specialize in unique bathroom fixtures, or better yet, try thrift shopping.

Find different bathroom suppliers here.

Decorate with wallpaper.

There are specific kinds of wallpaper that are suitable for the bathroom. Invest on durable wallpaper that can withstand water and high moisture. Interior designer Catherine Cena suggests using vinyl wallpaper and an industrial strength adhesive. Click here to learn more.
