When hosting a party, we want to make the table settings as beautiful as possible. We bring out those plates, glasses, and cutlery that are reserved for special occasions. Create table setups that will certainly wow your guests with these tips:

1. Let the beauty of your table show.

Ditch the table cloth and let the grains of your wooden table be appreciated and admired. Doing so will also add texture to your setup, making it look warm.

2. Use exquisite dinnerware.

If your China Cabinet is filled with beautiful dinnerware that you seldom use, now is the time to bring them out. These handpainted, ceramic dinnerware from the Frutta Laccata collection of Italian ceramic brand Modigliani will certainly add a unique, quaint touch to your table. Modigliani is available at Rustan’s.

3. Liven up your table with decor that matches what you’re serving.

Having a salad party? Add beautiful leaves and put them in clear glass vases to complement the food. Furniture in distressed finish are suitable if you want to go for a rustic look.

4. Go dainty.

If you’re having a tea-and-dessert party, a dainty look will suit it best. Display your sweets on cake domes and cupcake stands. Cover the table with floral or patterned tablecloth to complete the feminine look. Take inspiration from this table setup at cupcake shop Sophie's Mom

5. Follow a color scheme.

Create a cohesive look by having a specific color palette. Throw in some patterns as well to keep the setup from looking plain. Get this table runner from Harper&Harlow.
