5 Ways To Redecorate Your Home Without Shopping
For starters, you can try these pro-approved tips

Creating a well-thought-out space doesn't need to be expensive. Sometimes, all you need is a little creativity and elbow grease! Feel free to make time this weekend to try any of these tips:
1. Go for DIY art.
If you're crafty, why not create the art yourself? Even if all you have in your supply closet is acrylic paint and leftover wood, you can still make something pretty to hang on your wall. Better yet, if you have kids, put up their projects to give your space a personal touch.
2. Have pieces reupholstered.
Rather than throwing out the old sofa and buying a new one, try having yours reupholstered to breathe new life into it (unless it is also deteriorating). For a cheaper option, consider using printed slipcovers.
3. Add a few colorful pieces.
While neutrals are safe and classic, a room full of them can feel heavy or boring. Consider mixing in a few colorful pieces for interest, even if it's just placemats on the dining table or throw pillows.
4. However, if you have an abundance of color, try injecting neutrals.
Edit out neon pieces to balance out your space and set a timeless, neutral palette as base. This kind of backdrop gives you the flexibility to change accent colors anytime.
5. Make use of natural textures.
Consider working with pale and deep wood, woven rugs, natural fabrics and simple touches of greenery. These types of materials can instantly make a space extra cozy.
