4 Ways to Style Your Home Entrance

Create a lasting impact with the help of these tips

Aside from keeping the interiors of your home stylish and organized, you must also take into consideration the look and feel of outside areas including the front door. After all, this sets the mood of the entire space.

Style your house entrance with the help of these 4 easy tips.

Add an interesting mat

Place a doormat by the door to help you remove dust and grime off your shoes. Opt for ones made of hemp as they're eco-friendly and sturdier than the cotton ones. You may also update a plain doormat using paint. Click here for the step-by-step guide

RL Tip: Consider adding a stool or a small chair near the entrance. You can place your bag there while looking for keys. You may also sit there while waiting for a ride.

Choose quality light fixtures

The right set of lights enhances the beauty of your home's facade. Opt for low voltage lighting and lights that illuminate your flower beds, plants, and fences.

RL Tip: If you can’t add an electrical outlet for a wall sconce, have a wall-mounted candleholder instead. It is easier to install and the glow from the candles add a dramatic touch to the main door. Never leave lit candles unattended!

Add plants

Dress up a sad front door with a palmera or a seifrizii palm, which both work well in a shaded area! On the other hand, if you own a narrow entryway, you can count on sansevieria to lend a sharp, architectural detail to the space.
