As much as possible, we want our home to be a cut above the rest. We add personal touches and work on DIY projects that will add a distinct touch to the space. If you're still unsure about the style of your home, you may want to consider an organic modern vibe. It mixes natural and rustic feel with clean and contemporary interiors. Make it work with the help of these tips:

Add nature-inspired elements

Wood is the classic staple of an organic modern home. If you’re planning to make your home eco-friendly, opt for indigenous materials like bamboo. “There are studies that bamboo is a very resilient material for building…with an even greater tensile strength than steel,” explains architect Vincent Pinpin.

Opt for modern pieces

Instead of filling your home with rustic furnishings, balance it out with more contemporary pieces. The lamp, pillow, and stools can be made of natural materials yet all have simple lines in keeping the modern setting. Vases can lend to the simplicity of the space without looking old-fashioned.

Give life to a setting

Organic can also mean the characteristics of living things. Try adding an abstract chair that looks alive. This can be your focal point and you won’t have to do much with the rest of your setting. You may also decorate with plants to liven up your space. Indoor plants add visual contrast to a plain and empty space.

Go for unexpected bright colors

Different shades of green are often used in nature-inspired homes. However, since the organic modern look veers away from the usual earthy-looking theme, you must pick a unique and vibrant color scheme for your space. A vivid aqua wall veers away from the dull green often associated with the organic style. Pair it with rich chocolate brown furniture and pair it with turquoise or orange throw pillows.
