4 Simple Ways To Wake Up A Room With Color

Turn your space into a cheerful retreat!

Every once in a while, our homes could use a pick-me-up and the easiest way to do that is to splash it with color. From neutrals to brights, it can help transform the overall look of any room with minimal effort and can help breathe life into a space that's turning dull.

Whether you're transitioning from a monochrome scheme or updating only a few accessories, we've listed down four ways you can refresh your abode with different hues!

In the bedroom: Brighten up the sheets

Linens and pillowcases are more than just something to cover your bed with. Turn it into a canvas for a rainbow of sheets that range from red, green, purple, and blue to liven up your bedroom. You can also consider adding one or two solid-colored accent throw pillows to balance out your display.

In the bathroom: Switch up the curtains

If you're wondering how you can liven up the bath without retiling or repainting, a quick shower curtain swap can make a world of difference. Try to find a set of ombre drapes for a piece that would really stand out even in the simplest of T&B layouts.

In the living area: Switch up the rug

Apart from the walls and statement pieces, rugs can make or break the room. Make it your focal piece by picking out something that isn't only vibrant but also has an interesting pattern or texture. Make sure it doesn't clash with the rest of your decor by keeping everything else muted.

In the kitchen: Add some fresh blooms

What else says summer more than a bouquet of flowers? The great thing about putting peonies and sunflowers on display is that you don't have to commit to the same look for a long period of time. Feel free to change it up every few weeks to keep your cooking corner looking fresh.
