4 More Ways to Decorate with Wallpaper

Make the most of your rolls with these unexpected ideas

Now that you've finished upgrading your walls with charming wallpaper, what can you do with the extra rolls and scraps? You don't have to throw them away or stash them somewhere! You can still turn extra wallpaper into decor must-haves. Let these four ideas inspire and guide you.

Create a faux headboard

If you've always wanted to have a headboard, you can make it happen by creating a faux headboard using wallpaper. Liven up that blank space above your bed using wallpaper with interesting prints. Just make sure it goes well with the color of your walls.

Decorate your light switches

Switch plates and outlets are just some of the most neglected parts of the house! Use wallpaper scraps to turn them into accent pieces. Simply cut the scraps to size and attach them to the switches. Secure it using double-sided tape.

Use them on lampshades

You can apply wallpaper on a smooth paper or fabric lampshade. Simply cut the wallpaper scrap to fit the height and circumference of your shade. Use a strong glue or adhesive to secure the wallpaper. You may also use a glue gun.

Frame select pieces

Turn wallpaper scraps into wall accents. Do this by framing floral wallpaper using brightly colored frames. Feel free to mix-and-match patterns and prints! Hang your frames on a plain wall.
