3 Surprising Ways To Display A Mirror

It's about finding the balance between light and space

It's been said a thousand times before: mirrors are helpful solutions to make small spaces seem larger. No matter where you decide to put one, it's an easy way to open up a room without spending a lot.

Aside from making DIY fixtures and hanging functional pieces, there are also a bunch of alternative ways you can do to make a statement while still reflecting light into your home. Check out our favorite mirror decorating methods that don't take up extra floor space!

As a headboard

Fake a few more square meters in the bedroom by adding an eye-catching headboard. It doesn’t matter what kind you want to use—a big mirror or a bunch of small ones—as long as it is at least a foot taller (starting from the mattress) than your bed to cast back the other half of the room. This trick can also instantly brighten up the room regardless of your existing color scheme.

As a window-shaped wall decor

Mirrors are usually strategically placed in front of big windows to reflect the greenery from outside. If you're home doesn't have this type of window treatment, try to find pieces that come in curved panels and hang them in the part of the home where a window would be. Make sure it plays off where the sun hits to give it a realistic feel.

As an installed wall panelling

If you're not too keen on simple ways of working with mirrors, go big by installing full panels into a narrow hallway or a cramped bathroom. To keep it from being dizzying, they key is to use multiple small mirrors the same way you would with ordinary panelling.
